STUDIO TERRARASA

Artist statement:

Studio TerraRasa is a ceramics atelier created by multidisciplinary artists Kathleen Melville Rosenbloom, creative director and founder of Katro, a luxury loungewear brand, and Marcelle Frey, an interior designer for both residential and commercial spaces. The studio brings together diverse creative perspectives through the language of clay.

At the heart of their practice lies a shared belief that unexpected magic resides in nature. The ritual of moving, shaping, and holding the earth with their hands is at once transportive, nourishing, and restorative. Their wish is that the objects they create will ground, delight, and spark reflection.

Underlying this work is the Indian philosophy of Rasa—the belief that art holds the power to awaken pure emotion and evoke spiritual transcendence.
