LOIS SAMUELS

Lois Samuels is a Jamaican-born ceramic artist and sculptor based in Los Angeles. Before dedicating herself to ceramics, she spent over two decades working internationally as a model, collaborating with leading fashion houses and photographers. Today, her practice centers on hand-built, one-of-a-kind ceramic sculptures and vessels that explore form, texture, and material through a process rooted in craftsmanship and intuition. Her experience in fashion continues to inform her understanding of proportion, silhouette, and composition, while her work in clay reflects an ongoing interest in the relationship between function, sculpture, and the handmade.
