Most compelling is the act of taking paper and water to form a solid object……alchemy. 

This is the art of an object appearing to be something it is not.  Paper as three dimensional sculpture may be humble and vulnerable, but don’t be fooled…..these objects are strong, solid, and hard as stone.  Vessels and columns are pure illusion….closer to air and feathers, never to be touched by water. 

The making of paper sculpture, for me, is full of surprises and a meditative act…..poetry.
