HeyJa Do is a New York-based artist and designer whose work exists in the quiet tension between form and function. Beginning her creative journey in Korea as a fashion designer in 1992, she now operates Dear:Rivington+, a space in Manhattan where fashion, objects, and daily sensibilities converge in a distinct aesthetic world.
In recent years, her practice has naturally extended into ceramics. Her sensitivity to material, balance, and space led her to explore the medium, where she intuitively works with clay to create sculptural objects that embody restrained form and profound resonance. Her work explores weight, stillness, surface, and void, rejecting excess and embracing the beauty found in imperfection.
Rooted in functionality yet transcending it, her ceramics blend seamlessly into various environments, offering a quiet yet undeniable presence that bridges the gap between art and everyday life.
